Mainstream media knows that Donald Trump helps them "sell soap powder." Because Trump's near-daily outrageous posts and statements guarantees maximum viewership, media seems intent on playing them on an endless loop, 24/7. As a result, Trump's lies proliferate, saturate and poison the public discourse. If only the media would chose to present the truth of Trump's crimes and corruption as consistently as his endless false claims about "hoaxes" and "witch hunts" and "conflicted judges" and "deranged prosecutors." This reporting disparity was glaringly obvious when the audio of Donald Trump's criminal sentencing hearing was released. It seemed you couldn't turn on the TV without hearing the recording of Trump's bloviating at his sentencing hearing, while it seemed difficult to find and extending airing of the prosecutor's truthful and accurate statements to the judge about Trump's crimes of conviction.
