Medical Cannabis Comes to Jasper… and My Walker County Radar Just Went Off

Alabama’s medical cannabis program is finally rolling out — and Homestead Health just got licensed as a medical cannabis processor in Jasper. Let me be clear: I’m pro-cannabis and I want it legalized. I think this is a step in the right direction for patients and for the state.BUT… I don’t believe in coincidences. And it’s real interesting that one of the first major licenses pops up in Walker County — a county with a long history of corruption and backroom behavior.I’m not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I’m saying this industry attracts big money, and sometimes big money comes with shady connections. So I’m digging into who owns it, who funds it, who’s connected, and how this license happened.
