What can be strange about medicine? Ancient man, as in thousands of years ago, conducted dentistry using flint drill bits. 2000 years ago doctors realized that keeping the sick isolated from the injured was a good idea though they didn't know why. As recently as 1846, doctors thought you were nuts if you washed your hand between touching a corpse and a living breathing patient.
