Juan Ramón Jiménez, el gran poeta español, premio nobel de literatura 1956, escribió el siguiente poema: “Todas las rosas son la misma rosa, / amor, la única rosa. / Y todo queda contenido en ella, / breve imagen del mundo, / ¡amor!, la única rosa.” La rosa es una flor seductora. Y es gran acierto ponerla como símbolo de la realidad. Quien tiene mirada penetrante, mirada poética, ve belleza en cada cosa, hasta el punto de poder decir, más aún, cantar, que la rosa es breve imagen del mundo. Y para el poeta el amor es la rosa de las rosas. Elogiando a la Virgen María, las letanías lauretanas la llaman “Rosa mística”, viendo en María la Rosa de las rosas, que embriaga con su aroma y hermosura a quien la alaba y la contempla. Y así, podemos aplicar a María los dulcísimos versos de san Juan de la Cruz: “Gocémonos, Amado, / y vámonos a ver en tu hermosura”. Padre Hernando Uribe Carvajal, ocd.
