Daniel Klimek joins to reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary and how they can transform our own trials. Fr. Klimek begins with the Agony in the Garden, where Christ experiences profound abandonment and betrayal. He explains that this moment reveals the fruit of trust in God’s will, even in darkness. Judas’ betrayal – coming just after the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood – shows the pain of intimacy twisted against love. For those who have suffered betrayal, Jesus’ pierced heart becomes a place of deep communion and healing. Steve calls in to share that he thought of Christ’s Scourging at the Pillar in prayer as an invitation to forgive a difficult person in his life. Fr. Klimek notes how this mystery – with its fruit of purity – reminds us that sins of the flesh wound not only ourselves but Christ Himself, who bore them in His suffering. He and Patrick urge you to meditate on this mystery as a way to grow in purity and intercede for those who struggle with temptation. By uniting our pain to Christ in the Sorrowful Mysteries, we discover that suffering is not abandonment, but intimacy – a way of sharing in Jesus’ greatest act of love. The Lord invites us to be with Him in His agony, scourging, and cross. The Sorrowful Mysteries remind us that when we suffer betrayal, temptation, or grief, Christ is already there. In His wounds, He offers us healing, courage, and the assurance that no suffering is wasted when united to His love. Be sure to listen to the entire hour!
