Letting it slow down your mind,  And slow down your body. PAUSE… Bring your thoughts and emotions to the surface, Coaxing them out of you with your inhale,  And then letting them all go as you exhale.  PAUSE… Relaxing and releasing.  Softening and opening.  Settling into this moment. LONG PAUSE… I radiate confidence in all that I do. I embrace my unique qualities and let them shine. I am deserving of love, respect, and success. PAUSE I trust myself to make the right decisions. I am proud of my accomplishments. I am capable of handling any challenges that come my way. PAUSE I am confident in my ability to learn and grow. I trust my intuition to guide me in the right direction. I am not defined by my past mistakes. PAUSE I embrace new opportunities with enthusiasm. I am comfortable stepping out of my comfort zone. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
