Meditation Q&A (with Barrett Self)

from A Psychic's Story

How is everyone doing with the meditation series? Still with us? Amazing! Don’t know what I’m talking about? Please go back and listen to the announcement episode. If you’ve been meditating along with Barrett and me, or if you want to hear how others are doing with it, check out this Q&A episode where we address your input and answer your burning questions like – how do we more fully embody these practices? How can we avoid the most common pitfalls and barriers along the way? How can we ensure we’re doing meditation in a way that leads to a sustained shift in our relationships, ourselves and our lives? We also share what's coming up with the meditation series in November. Research shows that practicing meditation can enhance your attention span after only four days and increase grey matter. Studies also show that meditation can improve anxiety, lower blood pressure, relieve symptoms of insomnia, reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and much more.  A Psychic’s Story, along with Exhale Now and Everything Aligns, announced a free meditation series to help access the healing and peace you deserve. The first two meditations are on releasing heavy, blocked emotions. Listen to the first full meditation here.  Listen to the second full meditation here. Remember that it can take anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for a person to form a new behavior that becomes natural. For most people the sweet spot is 66 consecutive days. Therefore, it is suggested that you do the meditations daily to help it become a part of your everyday being.  Listen to the full interview with Lili Reinhart on Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose here.  Thank you to Exhale Now and Everything Aligns for making this Meditation Series possible! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
