Meditation: With Death all Ends
from LiguoriQuotes Hosted by LiguoriQuotes
In this episode, we listen to the second consideration from St. Alphonsus Liguori’s Preparation for Death, titled “With Death all Ends”. The saint reminds us that death will deprive us of everything in this world, and that nothing will matter except our eternal destiny. He exhorts us to detach ourselves from the vain and fleeting goods of this life, and to seek God alone, who is the only true good and the only one who can make us happy. *Points within the episode: 0:00 - Death Deprives us of Everything. 5:47 - Glory and Power on the Death-bed. 11:46 - Let us Hasten to Give Ourselves to God. *Source: Audio read by AM, Holy Family Publications, https://jmjsite.com/ / "Preparation for Death; or Considerations on the Eternal Maxims" by St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, Doctor of the Church; edited by Rev.
