Meditations 2: Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7)

What is referred to as the Sermon on the Mount (contained in the Gospel of Matthew chapters 5-7) is possibly the most famous speech in all of religious literature. This is Jesus Christ's “kingdom manifesto” outlining the ideal ethic to which believers should continually strive despite humbly acknowledging that they will fall short of living up to it.
