In questo modo cerchiamo di controllare e prevenire pianificando pensieri e azioni, immaginando così di riuscire ad evitare difficoltà. Questo approccio alla vita, sappiamo bene, non ci arreca beneficio.Controllando e prevenendo diveniamo insicure e cerchiamo di gestire la nostra vita sulla base di come abbiamo deciso che dovrebbe essere. Questo ci porta a giudicare noi stesse e il mondo intorno a noi, ci fa sentire sbagliate quando proviamo emozioni di ansia. Così, anziché accettare e accogliere l'emozione, tendiamo a reprimerla giudicandola. Ma quando la reprimiamo non facciamo altro che intensificarla.La via per essere libere è l’accettazione delle nostre emozioni, senza giudicarle.
