Meet Jesus with the Paralyzed Man

A paralysed man cannot reach Jesus through the crowd, so his friends lower him through the roof. Jesus first forgives him, then makes that unseen authority visible by commanding him to stand and walk. Jesus is the Son of Man, God’s promised King, who can forgive because He bears sin’s punishment and rises in victory over sin and death. Forgiveness comes first.
