Meet Lainie Munro, Performer, Choreographer and Master Teacher

Lainie Munro is a New York City based performer, choreographer, and teacher. Most recently she performed in "Beetlejuice" (Maxine/ Juno) on the Norwegian Viva, sailing throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Other credits include the Cameron Mackintosh production of "My Fair Lady" (First National Broadway Tour), which played 26 cities across the USA including the Kennedy Center; "42nd Street" (International Broadway Tour); "Saturday Night Fever" and "Grease" on Royal Caribbean, and regional productions of "Chicago" (Velma), "Sweet Charity" (Helene), and "A Chorus Line" (Kristine). Her choreography credits include "Oklahoma!" starring Rue McClanahan for the Broadway Series of Charlotte; "Legally Blonde" and "Crazy For You" for Florida State University; and an Off- Broadway production of "Sweet Charity" at New Haarlem Arts Theater, which won her the 2012 AUDELCO award for Best Choreography. Lainie is a well known dance teacher, on the guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and Alvin Ailey. She has taught workshops in Asuncion, Paraguay (Alex Martinez School of Dance); Christchurch, New Zealand (NASDA/ Ara Institute); and Sydney, Australia (McDonald College of Performing Arts). She is also a guest entertainer on cruise ships together with her partner, guitarist Matt Wolfe, performing regularly on Viking, Holland America, Princess, Celebrity, MSC, and NCL with their show "Legends of Guitar". Lainie holds a BFA in Music Theater from Florida State University and is a member of Actors Equity Association.
