Meet Melanye LaGrone Esquire

Melaney LaGrone began her career as a police officer, working in Detroit, Michigan, for 10 years. Of those 10 years, she spent five years in the gang squad and another three at narcotics. While working as a police officer, Melaney witnessed the disparity in atrocities suffered by minority men. Such atrocities set her afire with the burning determination to make a change and a difference. Melaney received her Master’s in Public Administration and went on from there to attend Thomas M. Cooley school of law, a private law school in Lansing, Michigan. Attorney Mel knows exactly how the officers and prosecutors work together to put minority men behind bars. This knowledge encouraged her transition from prosecuting crimes to defending the men accused of crimes because she believes in doing her part in keeping families together and making sure that fairness and justice apply to all men. Melaney LaGrone practices Immigration and Criminal Defense, where her focus is on minority men, husbands, and fathers. 50% of her business is crimmigration, which is the intersection between criminal law and immigration law.
