Son of a tennis-ball cricket stalwart, he switch to a school in Dadar and started commuting from Vikhroli to further his and his family's cricket ambitions. Since then, from a promising allrounder, he has evolved into a quintessential Khadoos Mumbai cricketer. Player of the Tournament in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy triumphant season, he has also been the player of the match in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final.
