Meet The Franchise | Garrett Reed | Layne's Chicken Fingers

from Meet the Franchise

Meet Garrett Reed, CEO of Layne's Chicken Fingers. What Is Layne's? Founded in 1994 in College Station, this "Soon To Be Famous" chicken-finger franchise became a Texas A&M legend known for its small-town charm, friendly service, iconic chicken fingers, and secret sauce. Layne's presents a unique combination of growth potential and brand maturity in the booming chicken space. With more than 30 restaurants open and more than 250 sold, Layne's is quickly laying the groundwork for a nationwide takeover. While the team remains interested in dominating the market in its home state of Texas and neighboring states, the restaurant is also expanding into the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. Garrett Reed fell in love with the Texas-headquartered concept as a student at Texas A&M University. In 2015, Garrett approached the concept's owner to express his interest in expanding the brand. He became the concept's owner two years later and, as CEO, focuses on creating an open-door culture where people from all levels of the organization can contribute their ideas.
