Meet your Idols, just don't be shocked at what you get

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem: Every boy hits that age where he thinks he can take dad. Mine came on a car ride, music cranked, cruising down the highway. Then it happened, his face contorted and everything changed. From that point on I had a hard time understanding why people hold others that they idolize to a higher standard. After I saw my dads face switch from grown man to toddler with a mustache, it was a little harder to take him seriously. See the thing is, we all have that moustachioed toddler face in us. It just takes the right set of circumstances to flush it out. They say don't meet your idols.
