Meeting the Messiah

Today, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Luke 2:8-20 on the importance of our meeting with the Messiah. This passage of scripture is considered the Christmas story about the birth of Christ. The shepherds received an unexpected and glorious appearance of the divine visitor. God chose a group of humble shepherds to announced the Son of God as Savior, Lord and Christ - that is Delivered, Master and Anointed King. Once the shepherds heard the message, they acted quickly and went to Bethlehem to see what the Lord had revealed to them. We, as believers, must be quick to act once we have received a word from the Lord. After we hear the word of God, we must accept the invitation, respond by obedience and glorifying & praising God. This is the gospel message we must be able to share with others. The Dayspring has come. As we celebrate Christmas, please remember what this season is truly about.
