Megan Dereski- Fertility Struggles and Family Tragedy Postpartum, Two Unmedicated Hospital Births with Midwives and Doulas

In this episode, Megan Dereski shares her two pregnancy and birth stories.  After several years of trying to get pregnant with her first child, she was able to conceive and had a beautiful birth.  Sadly, during Megan's postpartum period, her family was struck with tragedy when they lost her sister and brother-in-law to suicide.  Megan opens up about her experience coping with this massive loss during her first year with her daughter.  She then talks about the contrasting experience getting pregnant with her second daughter, and another smooth and positive birth.  Megan lives in Invermere, British Columbia, and is now an advocate for suicide prevention and support. Support the show
