Intent on a quick day hike in the area, Marohn's plans took a mysterious turn. After a brief interaction with a hotel employee that morning, she inexplicably vanished. Adding to the intrigue, her unlocked car was found two days later in the parking lot of Janet Longcope Park in nearby Lee.
