Charlie Buckingham1989年出生于美国的纽波特，6岁开始学习帆船和冲浪。毕业于乔治城大学政府管理专业，期间连续两年荣获美国大学最佳男水手称号。身高1.88cm、体重82kg的他曾获得过2019年泛美运动会的铜牌、2017年世界杯总决赛季军、参加了2016年里约奥运会并获得第11名。今年2月他成功入选东京奥运阵容，将再次向奖牌发起冲击。
