Mekhi Mason Joins San Jose State | San Jose State Spartans Basketball News

San Jose State just got a major boost with the addition of Mekhi Mason, a dynamic 6-foot-4 guard transferring from Wake Forest. A highly-touted recruit who earned McDonald’s All-American honors as a teen, Mason brings elite scoring ability and clutch performances — averaging 7.4 PPG last season while hitting 46 threes, including double-doubles. Before Wake Forest, he thrived at Washington, averaging nearly 10 PPG with a huge surge to 15.4 PPG in his final seven games. His college career also includes standout play at Rice, where he led in scoring as a sophomore with 14 PPG and dropped a career-high 30 points. With Mason on board, head coach Tim Miles is thrilled about the firepower this talented guard will bring to the Spartans’ upcoming season.
