Meltdowns Managed (feat. Dr. Jason Kahn of Mightier) S3E18

from The Autism Dad · host Rob Gorski

In today’s episode, I have a conversation with Dr. Jason Kahn, PhD. Jason, as he prefers to be called, is a developmental psychologist and co-creator of Mightier. Mightier is a program I’ve talked about quite a bit because it uses video games to help kids learn to emotionally self-regulate. That means fewer emotional outbursts or meltdowns, and a reduction of parental stress. Jason talks about how Mightier is empowering kids and parents to better manage life on COVID19 lockdown. Lockdown is disruptive for everyone but it’s especially distressing for kids, which is one reason we see an uptick in meltdowns or outbursts right now. Mightier is absolutely amazing and works for pretty much anyone. We talk about the science behind is and why it works so well. If your child is struggling with meltdowns or emotional outbursts, PLEASE listen and check out Mightier. I’ve been using it with my youngest for a year and a half and it’s amazing.  You can read my full review of Mightier here. You can purchase Mightier by clicking here.
