Being a writer often comes hand in hand with being a school supply/office supply nerd. We love to see August roll around because it means those amazing walls of school supplies for the coming year--new pens, notepads, ink colors, and all that. These accessories can become distracting toys, but if you a setting yourself up to write your memoir, you do need a few of these things! For our fun video this week, we are discussing the things you really do need to have in order to set yourself up for a successful writing journey. Part of the process of becoming a writer is learning how to read like a writer--to see the bones of structure and past the words to what choices the author is making and why they are (or aren't) working in the interest of the story.
