Menace sur le lagon

La semaine dernière, souvenez-vous, le drapeau rouge flottait sur les plages de l ouest de La Réunion. Après la découverte de plusieurs poissons morts dans le lagon, la mairie de Saint-Paul a interdit par précaution la baignade et toutes les activités nautiques. Depuis la baignade a repris mais cet épisode nous a au moins rappelé que notre lagon subit de nombreuses pressions au quotidien. On a un vrai zarlor avec le récif corallien qui abrite plus de 4600 espèces marines mais qui décline depuis des décennies, rien qu en 30 ans, on a perdu le tiers des coraux vivants, sans compter la pêche illégale qui est toujours présente ...
