Mendoza’s Preseason Preview | Las Vegas News

Raiders rookie QB Fernando Mendoza’s shaky preseason debut—7-of-14, 57 yards, 1 INT—isn’t the full story. Playing with a weak offensive line and unpolished receivers, his struggles are expected. Head coach Klint Kubiak prioritized reps over perfection, and while stats look rough, there’s promise beneath the surface. The team may even consider sitting him in 2026 to build around him, investing in weapons first. Context matters: this is just the beginning for Mendoza—and the Raiders’ offense.
