He was named a Senior Career Investigator for Women's Heart Health by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada for his work on the role of menopause in shaping cardiovascular disease risk. The Pyle lab has also worked to develop peptide therapeutics for heart attacks based on studies investigating cardiac Z-disc proteins. Dr Pyle earned his PhD in Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and was an American Heart Association Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. His lab is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. About Lindsay: Lindsay Dixon is a Pharmacist from British Columbia, Canada. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Brazil where she specialized in Pharmacotherapy. Lindsay is also certified in Palliative Care through the University of Victoria. Lindsay has over 10 years of experience working in community pharmacy and in community pharmacy management. Her passion lies in preventative medicine, patient-centred care, and public health education.
