"To see men filled with vision and empowered to be who God has called them to be…" "We are Kings" But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession… 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV) …that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV) Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV) A King is a SERVANT A Kings is a PROTECTOR A King is a LEADER The greatest tragedy of the American Church and of our culture, is that men have abdicated their leadership. Listen, my son! Listen, son of my womb! Listen, my son, the answer to my prayers! Do not spend your strength on women, your vigor on those who ruin kings. Proverbs 31:1-9(NIV) It is not for kings… Proverbs 31:1-9(NIV) …it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights. Let beer be for those who are perishing, wine for those who are in anguish! Let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more. Proverbs 31:1-9(NIV) Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:1-9(NIV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Proverbs 14:12 (ESV) In the Lord's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him. Proverbs 21:1-4(NIV) A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:1-4(NIV) To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:1-4(NIV) Haughty eyes and a proud heart—the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin. Proverbs 21:1-4(NIV) The wicked put up a bold front, but the upright give thought to their ways. Proverbs 21:29-31 (NIV) There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21:29-31 (NIV) for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. Proverbs 24:16 (NIV)
