Mental Fitness Unscripted S2E9 The One Thing (part 1)
from Mental Fitness Unscripted · host Chad Husted
Do you ever feel overwhelmed or frustrated by the difficulty of achieving your goals? Or maybe you believe you should have some goals, but you don't know what they should be? I can easily fall into that rabbit hole and get lost. I want to grow, improve, be better, etc., but it seems like a lot of work, and I'm already very busy. Ugh. In our conversation, Todd references a book by Gary Keller called The One Thing which aims to simplify man's quest to live a fulfilling life. It’s the small things that make the biggest difference. And that's really good news, as we don't have to solve world hunger or make millions of dollars. Instead, we must find the one thing that leverages everything else in life, and focus there to find the desired success. But counterintuitively, the things that leverage the most are the quietest things. How you pay attention to the little things will compound over time to great results when you do the little things well, and consistently over time. What is the one thing that we could do that would yield the greatest results? It's not a big extraordinary thing that we must do to find the fulfilling life we desire, but rather being consistent with the simple, small things that will reap the great reward we are looking for.
