Mental health Awakening 2 - Chronic Depression - With Sophie Ward

Welcome back to another episode of Mental Health Awakening 2! Today Mason and Angela and joined with Sophie Ward who is a chronic illness warrior with Lyme disease diagnosed in 2017, and she is a podcaster which started in 2018 called "Chronic but Iconic!" Today's topic is depression we talk about the different types of depression you can have while having a chronic illness, as all of us here have a chronic illness we thought this is a fitting discussion. Sophie talks about her passion of swimming and almost getting to the Olympics with team GB, she talks about her time in China eating Chinese food there is much different to UK Chinese food. She felt something was wrong and nobody believed her. It took Sophie a good few years to accept her chronic illness, we talk about professionals and how not every professional does know what they are doing and should say something if they are unsure on something! we talks about experience and hospitals and Doctors and the different stages of depression!
