#MentalHealth #LifeTransitions #experiences 0:00 - 2:30 - Intro 2:30 - 14:45 Growing Through Painful Rites of Passages 14:45 - Wrap Up Hello Everyone, Hope all is well. Welcome to another segment on Mental Health, this week ☺️! Let's talk about the rites of passages that shifted our perspective about the people, places, and situations in our lives (or who once played significant roles in our lives). Specifically, the moments we each experienced that were painful enough, that our beliefs, values, and behaviours changed, sometimes radically, in response to said circumstance. Much of the wisdom gained in life is through missteps, bumps, and bruises. For many of us, the privilege of seeing the world through rose-coloured lenses had a brutal awakening attached to the end of it. Often when those rose-coloured frames were snatched off our faces and shattered into pieces. Though abrupt, and oftentimes violent, these jarring events bring about a new perspective. Hard won insights that enable us to navigate complex social settings with grace, ease, and awareness. While we'll each have our our personal spin to these painful, gut-wrenching rites of passages that serve to enable us to see ourselves more clearly, it is in celebrating the strength we gained in the pain, that is worthy of commemoration. You got through the obstacles behind you, you'll push through whatever comes next! Any questions?
