Mental Health - Dos & Don'ts of Feeling Exhausted | Learning the Art of Self-Compassion & Intention

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#MentalHealth #Intention #SelfCompassion 0:00 - 2:30 - Intro 2:30 - 8:34 - Feel Exhausted 8:34 - Wrap Up Hello Everyone, I hope all is well. Welcome to our second segment on Mental Health, this week 😊 In today's conversation we're talking about how to treat ourselves when we are experiencing exhaustion and feeling run down. Many of us are not guilty of throwing elaborate pity parties for ourselves. Instead, when is the case that we are feeling less than par we become highly critical and judgmental of ourselves. We think, "Why can't I do more?" rather than, "Hey, I've done a lot and need some rest." Funny how many of us don't recognize when we need to give ourselves grace by taking some time to restore and to recuperate. Much of the rhetoric and narratives around work ethic are toxic and dehumanizing. They promote minimizing our value to units of production that serve someone else's capitalistic gains. So be more human, and give yourself permission to rest. Do you have any questions regarding our parent-child workshops?
