Mental Health in the African Diaspora Community

from Émo Talk Show · host Tulia Mulemba

Many of the issues facing the African community require uncomfortable yet necessary conversations and mental health is certainly one of those issues, at the top of that list. In this first episode, we discuss the mental health stigma in the African community. We take a deep dive into the origins of this stigma. Although we recognize that this is an issue, we shy away from speaking about it and potentially addressing  the challenge with some real solutions. Mental health matters and it is time to start having these conversations to remove the stigma.
