Mental Health: Why Do Some Still Underestimate the Power in Kindness? | Life Lessons in Self-Mastery

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#MentalHealth #Courage #Battles  0:00 - 2:30 - Intro  2:30 - 20:30 - Choosing Kindness  20:30  - Wrap Up   Hello Everyone!  Welcome to our first segment on Mental Health, this week 😊   In today's conversation, we're talking about the ability to respond with kindness.   Many people still (falsely) assume that a kind person is a weak person. Generally, for the people who follow this line of thinking, they subsequently assume that kind individuals are an easy target. For those of us out there who consider ourselves as kind, we know that this couldn't be further from the truth.   Kindness is a choice, not a proclivity.   Those who understand kindness, recognize that choosing to be kind despite mistreatment, ill-will, and harmful intent requires high levels of self-mastery and self-control. Not to mention, life experience.   Many who choose to be kind have graduated from life's school of the hard knocks. So if ever someone chooses to underestimate you and treat your kindness as weakness, give them the life lesson that will last a lifetime.   Do you have any questions regarding our resilience-building, parent-child workshops?
