Because if you love someone and you're standing next to them while they're going through a mental illness, and you see them suffering... you're going through it with them. And when I say that mental illness is a team sport. It's not a sport that everybody chooses to play. When you've got somebody that you care about that has a mental illness, you are now part of their mental illness journey. That's not to say that you're at fault or that you have any responsibility- but it's good to acknowledge that the people around you are being affected by your mental illness whether you think so or not.
