Mental well-being advocate - Gary Macdonald
from Pressure Build with Andy Robb Hosted by Andy Robb
What actually happens when a room full of men finally start talking? Gary Macdonald has spent years finding out. He’s worked in mental health and wellbeing for a large part of his career, and has his own experience of it too. He’s a mental health trainer and advocate, and in 2018 he co-founded MindtheMen with John Baines, a peer-to-peer group where men can come together, talk about what they’re dealing with and support each other. Between the professional work, his own challenges and years of sitting with men who are trying to make sense of their lives, Gary has a pretty unique view of men’s mental health. Today I’m joined by Gary to find out. Disclaimer: This show is a conversation starter, something to listen to that might resonate. It is not a counselling service or medical advice.
