Welcome to our first segment on Mental Wellness, this week 😊 In today's conversation, we're talking about how to deal with being the target of vicious rumours, lies, & gossip. While we assume it doesn't happen frequently, many of us don't pay that close attention to the quality of information we hear through the grapevine. That is, until the news reel is concerning us or the people we care about. When what's being shared is untrue, vindictive, and harmful, it can be jarring to recognize that we've been the target of someone's carelessness or malice. Which is what it fundamentally boils down to. When people use you to draw attention to themselves, they either lacked the foresight to see to what extent their lies were going to explode and become problematic for them, or they felt confidently enough in their abilities to turn people against you that they acted with intention. Whatever the case, there's different ways to react and address this kind of slander, be sure to choose the strategy that best serves you in the long run. The truth always prevails in the end, often also revealing the loyalty and intentions of all those who are implicated. #mentalwellness #gossip #rumours #lies Any questions?
