Mental Wellness: Giving Yourself Permission to Rest | Making Space for Sleep & Recovery for the Body

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#mentalwellness #rest #recovery 0:00 - 2:30 - Intro 2:30 - 14:00 - Giving Yourself Permission to Rest 14:00 - Wrap Up Hello Everyone, I hope all is well. Welcome to our first segment on Mental Wellness, this week 😊 In today's conversation, we're focused on being responsive to our body's needs in relation to rest. There is so much that our bodies do for us! It's easy to take our physical selves for granted, until we experience an illness, or an injury that requires a period of recovery. It is often in these moments of stillness that we recognize how much our body's well-being plays into our ability to make plans and see them through. We become cognizant as to the extent our lives are tailored by our "physical" vehicles in this human experience. If you're needing to rest and recover, tune in and be responsive to your body's needs. Whether that translates as sleeping more, or working less, it is for us to pay attention to the cues and signals our body provides when it needs to recover, restore, and recharge. This can be especially difficult for those of us who struggle with stillness, when that happens to be what it is that our body needs. So take this as a cue to listen to go inward and listen to your body. Be as responsive and agile in responding to your physical needs, as your body has been in enabling you achieve all you have up until this very point. #mentalwellness #rest #recovery Any questions?
