Mental Wellness: Surviving Traumatic Events | Open Conversations on Recovery and Redefining Yourself

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#MentalWellness #Clarity #Action  0:00 - 2:35 - Intro  2:35 - 27:30 - Surviving Trauma  27:30 - Wrap Up   Hello Everyone!   Welcome to our first segment on Mental Wellness this week 😊   In today's discussion, our focus of conversation is on recovering from trauma.  Many of us are still figuring out what we need to heal, and what our healing journey should entail. Having my own trauma, and having listened to some of the traumatic events others have experienced, there is no cookie cutter, or prescriptive way to address the injury that events can bring.   Not having a clearly laid out path on how to address our healing shouldn't be a deterrent, as many people see it. It's an opportunity to go inward, and focus on seeing yourself, and hearing yourself the way we often seek to be seen and heard by others.  Mostly importantly, to give yourself time, empathy, and forgiveness.   Talking from personal experience, healing is a painful process, but it's been one of the most rewarding journeys of self-discovery I've gained. While there's still much more healing to do, that is true of most things worth putting our time and energy into.  So for those of you still picking up the pieces... have a little faith and a little patience in yourself. It won't happen overnight, but with diligence, intention, and mindfulness - there is a version of you who can rise above what you've been through.   #mentalwellness #healing #trauma #recovery #selfdiscovery #alignment #trusttheprocess #forgiveness  Do you have any questions regarding our resilience-building, parent-child workshops?
