Mercedes Closet

from QATL Queer Radio Hosted by Robert

April Jackson-Hunter received a Master of Art in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Herzing University. She has a love for a plethora of things, but books and literature has always been her passion. Her story isn’t different from anyone else’s, she took a portion of her life that wouldn’t be forgotten and harnessed it. Her life is filled with family and memories that would get her through some long, rough, and sleepless nights. She experienced violence at the hands of someone who was supposed to love her. For many years after this she battled fear, guilt, and shame until she couldn’t mentally handle it anymore. After seeking help for what she thought were mental instabilities, she received some game changing advice. A counselor suggested that she start a journal in an attempt to help with reoccurring nightmares and insomnia issues. The journal she started turned into the literary work of art you see in front of you today. Listener Supported https://sites.google.com/view/peachnews/sponsors
