In this episode, we continue our conversation with worship leader, songwriter, and longtime friend of Brooke’s, Meredith Andrews. We talk about the sacredness of private worship — the quiet, hidden places where God meets us, speaks to us, heals us, and reminds us who He really is. 🙌 Meredith shares about all the places God has met her over the years, the difference between teaching people to worship and simply giving them permission to, and what it looks like to take every thought captive in a different way — by bringing those thoughts into God’s presence and asking, “What are You saying to me here?” We talk about who we were told Jesus was versus who we’ve learned Him to truly be, and the life-changing truth that maybe the greatest spiritual lesson isn’t doing more for God… but learning to receive the love of God. 🤍 Meredith also shares about her new album, released on Good Friday, and the full-circle moment of returning to Liberty University to record it. We talk about creating as image-bearers, transitioning from being the young worship leader to becoming the “older person” on the team, and what it means to mother and encourage the next generation. We also talk about trusting God with our children, releasing control over where He may lead them, and reminding them that their identity is not found in their assignment. What we do is not who we are. Our output is not our identity. And yes — we talk about rejection, healing the wounds that make us say yes just to be accepted, included, or associated with certain people… and the holy reminder that sometimes our “no” can be just as sacred — maybe even holier — than our yes.
