Merfolk For Black Lives

Welcome to a special episode in which Black Professional Merfolk discuss their lives on land and under the sea. 

The hashtag #MerfolkforBlackLives was started on Instagram by Mermaid Che Monique. Since her original post on June 3, 2020, the Mer community has really taken up that call to discuss why the Black Lives Matter movement is important to them and the hashtag now has hundreds of posts on social media. 

This episode is a partial replay of an event hosted by Mermaid Chè Monique on Facebook Live and recorded for The Mermaid Podcast. In this conversation, Mermaid Chè Monique is joined by Mermaid JessaLee, Blixunami, Caribbean Pearl, Fernando Delequoix and Keeva Queen Mercorn.
