Message 24 - Discerning God's Call

The Root Gospel Ministries Message 24 | 6-1 In this message, Josh groups callings into two main categories: calls for the entire body of Christ and calls to specific body parts of the greater body of Christ. First, he looks closer at a few calls to the greater body, and then at specific "body parts." This message in no way will tell you what your calling is, but it is designed to be a helpful tool for you to discern your own call. In the remainder of the series, Josh will go through the accounts of the calls of different characters in the Bible. In the message Josh talks about spiritual gifts. Some passages that are good resources when working with spiritual gifts are 1 Peter 4:10 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. If you want to know what your spiritual gifts might be I recommend the test linked below. Make sure to pray about your results, and seek affirmation and guidance from Christians around you. The test isn't perfect, but it is very helpful in our opinion here at The Root. Quote from Josh: "First, I want to thank God for The Root and all the wonderful blessings. and provisions that come from it. God has taught me so much through this ministry, and this week was no exception. Now, I want to thank a few people for their help in the preparation and creation of this message, without them it would not have been nearly what it was. First I want to thank Pastor Schultze from Harbor Shores Church for speaking with so much wisdom and authority on the subject. That conversation we had was imperative to my research and fundamental to my own walk with God, thank you for your wisdom Pastor Schultze. Next, I want to thank all my roommates for our conversations about this topic and their help in recording the message. So thank you to Matt Badea and Nick Snider for their thoughts and perspectives, and for leading me to some wonderful resources. Lastly, I want to thank Joel Steimle for taking time out of his day to record with me, and for his truly edifying and lovely words of encouragement. I appreciate all of you that helped and all that are watching or listening!"
