Messick Shines, Offense Falters Again | Cleveland Guardians News

The Guardians took a heartbreaker, falling 1-0 to the Rays despite Parker Messick’s stellar seven-inning gem. Messick dominated, allowing just one run — a bizarre fifth-inning bunt mishandling — while the offense went cold, going zero-for-seven with runners in scoring position. Drew Rasmussen matched him with a brilliant shutout start, and the loss extends Cleveland’s skid to five games. The team’s focus? Finding offense fast before the season’s end.
