Metaphors to help you communicate chiropractic

from Under the Influence with Martin Harvey · host Martin Harvey

Communicating chiropractic can be hard. The big idea of chiropractic is simple - that chiropractic can help your body work better so that you can do ALL the things you have to do and love to do. But connecting people with it is more difficult. It's more difficult because this idea is different from the predominant ideas in our culture. And it's difficult because we have the curse of knowledge where it's hard for us to imagine what it's actually like to not know that! This is where metaphors, similes, and schemas come in. They are all ways of linking concepts that people already understand to chiropractic. In this episode, Martin goes through his favourite links to the bid idea of chiropractic!
