Mets Rally, Roster Moves, and Tragedy | Kansas City Royals News

The Mets stunned the Royals with a five-run eighth inning, capped by Brett Baty’s clutch bases-loaded double, snapping a losing streak. The team made roster moves, calling up Xzavion Curry and Tobias Myers, while sending Matt Seelinger packing and placing Austin Warren on the IL with a forearm issue. Dan Hammer is reportedly on the way up, and Ken Rosenthal confirms no trade talks for Lindor. Tragically, legendary pitching coach Phil Regan, “The Vulture,” passed away at 89. Elsewhere, the Braves blanked the Pirates, Marlins narrowly beat the Mariners, Phillies fell to the Reds, but Nationals celebrated as CJ Abrams and Luis García Jr. each hit their 20th homers in a win over the Astros.
