from MLB Baseball News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The New York Mets suffered a tough 5-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, marking their third consecutive defeat. Starter Eduardo Rodriguez dominated the Mets, pitching a no-hitter through five and one-third innings and allowing just one run. The Mets defense struggled, committing a season-high three errors, including two by Andy Ibanez at third base. The teams offense also faltered, with six starters going hitless, including Juan Soto and Bo Bichette. The Mets managed to score in the sixth inning but couldnt capitalize on the opportunity. They now head into an off day before a six-game homestand against the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees, where theyll need to improve their defense and spark their offense to turn things around.
