La falta de medicamentos de alto costo y de espacios hospitalarios adecuados para cumplir un tratamiento digno ha acabado con la vida de más de 25 pacientes oncológicos en el Zulia, en lo que va de 2023. De manera inaudita, desde el pasado enero y hasta la fecha, sólo en una oportunidad la Farmacia de Alto Costo, adscrita al Instituto Venezolano del Seguro Social (Ivss), recibió dotación de estas medicinas tan necesarias para quienes padecen de cáncer.El presidente del Comité de Pacientes Oncológicos del estado Zulia, Ángel Urdaneta, reveló a Versión Final que la “ausencia de medicinas” y la “falta de espacios de salud” ha provocado el fallecimiento, en los últimos días, de "más de 25 pacientes en todo el estado Zulia".La situación alarmante se ha repetido con el pasar del tiempo, y cada vez se vuelve más crítica. El año pasado, los afectados "tardaron ocho meses en obtener las medicinas", y durante este mes de abril "estamos por cumplir casi dos meses sin recibir las medicinas oncológicas".
