MHOD Jukebox: Crobot - Obsidian

Welcome to another edition of the MHOD Jukebox, where the riffs are heavy and the commentary is heavier. On this episode, Mark Radulich, Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, and Mik Wanamaker dive deep into the fuzzy, funk-laced world of Crobot! We kick things off with a blast of industrial groove from White Zombie, then take a quick stroll through Crobot’s history—where they came from, what they sound like, and how they carved out their niche in modern rock. From there, it’s on to their breakout hit “Low Life”, a full review of their latest album Obsidian, and a look at how it stacks up against past efforts like Welcome to Fat City. We also take a moment to reflect on key events from May 18th in metal history, including the passing of Chris Cornell and the legacy of Blind Guardian, Soulfly, and HammerFall. And because this is MHOD, you know it wouldn’t be complete without a bit of black metal nonsense from Immortal, a detour into OnlyFans coaching, and a punchy closer from Five Finger Death Punch. Plug in and turn it up—this one’s got riffs, laughs, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.
