Mia was nominated by her cousin Olivia to receive a Second Chance at making memories to honor her late daughter, Kinsley.A note from Olivia:I’m Olivia, Mia’s cousin. On January 9th, 2025 she lost her daughter to childhood cancer (neuroblastoma) after fighting it for 3 of her 5.5 years of life. She passed peacefully with her family around her. Mia is a single mom to her living daughter (age 8). She has been through more than anyone should in her life. Mia deserves a second chance at life after the loss of her child. She is faithful to her family, in a relationship and still pursing the Lord, and is a wonderful & selfless mother. She’s only 27 herself and has been through the worst. I love her and her kids so much & when I heard this on the radio, I knew I had to nominate her. Mia and her daughter are very close & have been there for each other through this grieving time. I was thinking for a second chance for them would be a little weekend trip to ocean shores for Mia’s daughter who passed birthday on June 27th. Ocean shores is their favorite place to go and Kinsley (who passed) loved it there. She isn’t working right now because of the mourning of her child. Second Opinion will help make this weekend trip for Mia and her family by filling up their gas tank and grocery cart in preparation. They'll also receive a polaroid camera to capture memories, and passes to the local arcade, pizza spot, and ice cream shop. Thank you Second Opinion Sewer for making this special trip possible.
