Michael: Don’t take things personal

Today Michael called in to talk share his story of overcoming the fear that most of us experience when we put ourselves out into the world and face rejection. Michael is in the Real Estate business but he comes from the world of film and movies so he knows that its more than Real Estate, it’s an experience, a lifestyle and a relationship… he is in the people business. It can be really scary when you need to put yourself out into the world and face people not accepting you. This is what Michael learned when it came to making cold calls and starting off new relationships with people that he did not know. Michael talks about the harder that he would try to make the perfect call the worse he would end up doing and end up psyching himself out. Only when he learned to relax and be himself and to reframe the entire act in a way where he realized that what he is really doing is serving others and his intentions where to always be helpful to others did he move forward.
